A community that works together can be a powerful force for positive change. In 2014 and again in 2018, I was honoured to be elected as CVRD Director for the Cowichan Station/Sahtlam/Glenora electoral area. I am committed to working with the community for a better future, and I hope you will join me.

Working Together

Each of us has one voice in our community, and working together is key to solving problems and getting things done in Area E and across the entire CVRD. Working together requires listening, putting aside differences, keeping an open mind, and sharing information.

Local governments need to team up not only with other governments but with communities. There are many engaged citizens and not-for-profit and other agencies that can contribute expertise and innovative ideas for shaping the region.  Let’s draw on all of that knowledge and wisdom

When making decisions at the Board table we are tasked to think regionally - that requires a desire to work collaboratively with all the jurisdictions in the regional district to solve problems and get things done. We are coming to you, the citizens, with a referendum question on the ballot this fall, asking if you support a Regional Recreation Function. If passed, it would have all areas of the CVRD fund their fair portion of the operating costs of 9 Major Regional facilities based on their areas unique usage.
